The Voice coaches to rue lost chances?

The Voice of Ireland coaches Bressie, Sharon Corr, Kian Egan and Brian Kennedy have added to their teams, but Sunday evening’s episode of ‘blind’ auditions on RTÉ One was also a case of ‘the ones who got away’.

None of the four coaches picked Emma Wigglesworth for their team, which prompted boos from the crowd.

Bressie also felt he made a big mistake in not turning his chair for Ellie McMahon.

“She looks like a popstar; if I had have seen her I would have put her through,” he said. “I definitely missed out on Ellie.”

However, Bressie has two new additions to his team after Sunday: Rory Quinn and Kiera Byrne.

All four coaches fought over Nollaig O’Connor after her rendition of U2′s With or Without You, with the singer ultimately choosing Sharon Corr as her coach.

Corr also found another team member in opera singer Vanessa Whelan after her performance of Take That’s Rule the World.

Brian Kennedy also has an opera singer on his team, Lata McCarthy, with Lindsay Hamilton and Brendan Keeley the other singers who chose Kennedy as their coach.

Kian Egan has three new singers for his team: Lorna Jordan, Lucy O’Byrne and Sandra Jane Hyland, with the latter told to audition for the show by Egan’s Westlife colleague Nicky Byrne after he heard her sing at a wedding.
