Westlife’s Nicky Byrne has officially opened the new Life Style Sports flagship store on Mary St in Dublin City Centre, which is 10,000 sq ft spread out over two floors.

With one floor dedicated to men and the other to women’s wear and kids, the store was designed around the concept ‘Sports meet Style’ and has various ‘zones’ such as ‘Running’, ‘Fitness’, ‘GAA’, and ‘Rugby’ with many ranges exclusive to Life Style Sports in the Irish market.

There is a painting of Brian O Driscoll commissioned by Life Style Sports from Irish rugby player and artist Cian Healy in the Rugby zone.

The first floor is home to the biggest selection of football boots in Ireland with Nike and adidas football zones. There is a boot customisation booth where you can get names and numbers stitched onto boots – a first for Dublin’s city centre.

“Life Style Sports is 100pc Irish owned, employing over 800 people across Ireland. When it came to designing our flagship store, we wanted to design a true sports retail destination in the city centre that showcased the best products from leading global sports brands,” said general manager Mark Stafford.

Life Style Sports has partnered with Irish children’s charity Barnardos for the second year this Christmas. For every new ‘Like’ on the Life Style Sports Facebook page, €1 will be donated to Barnardos by the Irish sports retailer. To date the page has received over 13,000 new ‘Likes’.
