Westlife arrive in Kuala Lumpur06/10/2011 20:24
It was a low-key reception that Irish pop band Westlife received when they arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport from Jakarta this afternoon.
Dressed casually in jeans and T-shirts, the members were all smiles as they warmly greeted their awaiting fans in the arrival hall, before they were whisked away into a van outside.
The members, namely Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan, are scheduled to perform for their third Malaysian concert, Westlife: Live In Kuala Lumpur, Friday night at Putra Stadium Bukit Jalil.
Formed in 1999, the internationally-successful group is famous for its pop songs and meaningful ballads, all of which turned into big hits once it reached the airwaves. Popular hits include Flying Without Wings, Uptown Girl, Seasons In The Sun and My Love.
The concert, presented by JS Concert Productions in association with Midas Promotions and Sony Music, is part of the Asian league of their Gravity Tour 2011. Their next concert destination is Seoul, South Korea this Sunday.
