Westlife are officially back and fans couldn't be happier. Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan announced they would be reuniting earlier this month for a new album and have since gone on to confirm a UK and Ireland tour to mark their 20th anniversary together. However, it's not just a celebration of 20 years with one album and tour that Westlife are providing fans with. Speaking to RSVP Live today, the band revealed that they plan on sticking around for longer.
"We're not here to just do one show in Croke Park," Kian said. "We're here to do Croke Park next year, and wherever we can take it the following year and the following year." Speaking about their split in 2012, it seems the lads are more eager than ever to hit the road once more. Kian continued: "We stepped away from something that was so massive and so huge, and to think that we can come back to it - we are so hungry to make it as big as it can possibly be worldwide."
Meanwhile, Westlife's family are delighted to see them return to music, while their kids - some of who weren't even born when the band were still together - are very excited to see their dads back in action.
"It's going to be very exciting for the kids, they get so excited when they see the four of us [together]," Shane explained. "We told them [about the reunion], but they had to keep it a secret." Tickets for Westlife Twenty go on sale this Thursday at 9am on Ticketmaster, with prices starting from €59.50.
